Gold Wedding Rings
A wedding ring or wedding band is a open circle or ring made from a precious metal that is often gold. In some countries it is generally worn on the left ring finger which is the 4th finger, next to the smallest finger on most people, but in some places the gold ring is worn on the right ring finger. India and other countries practicing Hinduism a toe ring of gold or bichiya is displayed rather than a gold ring on a finger.

The gold ring is a symbol of marriage or domestic bondage. Each spouse will wear the gold ring to show there is a marital commitment to fidelity and scare off other suitors. Some partners may hide or remove the gold ring if they are trying for something on the side, but this is generally discouraged.
